At Finchley B&B we aim to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment with plenty of space to wander around and enjoy the views of the hills and large dam nearby, occasional kangaroos and wallabies grazing, and the abundance of native birdlife that frequents the area.
We have two separate units, both of which are pet friendly (we ask you to confirm your pet is house-trained and well behaved). The two units can also be interconnected for a larger group.
Your MAIN COTTAGE accommodation includes the following:
* Bedroom 1 - queen size bed, built in robes
* Bedroom 2 - bunk bed with double base and single above, storage space
* Living and dining areas
* separate kitchen with pantry and fridge stocked with breakfast items such as bread, butter, cereals, milk, fruit juice, fresh fruit, plunger and pod machine coffee, an assortment of teas, bacon, tomatoes, and fresh home-laid eggs if required (included in price)
* walk-in shower (baby bath available upon request)
* separate toilet
* free wi-fi, TV, DVD player and lots of DVD's to choose from
* fold-out sofa bed for an extra guest
* reverse-cycle air-conditioning
* electric blankets in winter
* 3m deep covered verandah with BBQ, comfy seating and al fresco dining table and benches
* artworks of Jervis Bay beaches by a local artist (some available to purchase if required)
* a good selection of books, board games and a few outdoor games

LITTLE FINCHLEY (motel style smaller unit):
This is our compact, more budget-style unit best suited to a single traveller, or couple one QS bed only) for short stays or convenient overnight stops only 2 mins from Princes Highway. It includes separate entrance with private gated deck, SMALL sitting room with TV, DVD player and DVDs, kettle, toaster, microwave, bar fridge, Continental breakfast provisions, QS bed in separate bedroom, full size bathroom (NOTE: SHOWER OVER BATH). If this is likely to suit your needs better, please feel free to enquire. This, too, is pet friendly, with its own separate yard in front.
DINING IN: We have a very good take away a short drive away or they will deliver for $9. They specialise in pizzas, but also provide fish and chips, hamburgers, pasta, chicken schnitzels, baked potatoes and more. Many of our guests have enjoyed their service.
DINING OUT: Around Jervis Bay and environs, there is also a good selection of eateries in Huskisson, plus, 35 minutes to the South, the world-renowned Rick Stein at Bannisters, Mollymook, or Cupitt's Winery at Milton, excellent for a special occasion, and our personal favourite fish and chips at Burrill Lake, as well as the multi-award-winning Pelican Rocks at Greenwell Point, and many more.
Why Finchley B and B?
Having stayed at many B&B's myself over the years, and finding in nearly every case that there is something I wish was included. I am hoping to provide everything I always felt would be helpful in one package, especially when it comes to those travelling with their pets. We know how delightful it is to be made to feel very welcome and comfortable, and will do whatever we can to ensure you enjoy your stay with us. This includes your pets: they have their own pets' room which accesses a dog-fenced back yard via a medium size dog door, along with perhaps a pleasant stroll around the acre or so of secure property to stretch their legs, and do a bit of wildflower spotting yourself in spring, or ask us to set up the hammock for you1 The views when relaxing on the wide North-facing deck are very therapeutic and serene, a great place for a get-away even if you don't want to be rushing off to the numerous other attractions in the area every day.
We are central to many lovely attractions (Berry to the North and Ulladulla to the South) within a radius of 20-40 mins drive, and many more just a little further afield, for delightful outings in all directions, and we have a supply of brochures and maps to assist in your planning your day(s).
We also have guest discount vouchers for Angels Bayside, a great pet friendly (al fresco) eatery at Huskisson, the main town on Jervis Bay, and also for the dolphin/whale watching cruises out of Huskisson. (Please note: these concessions are at the discretion of the service provider).
